In year 2000 Odessa State Medical University has completed its 100 years of existence. It is a government university with the rights of self governing. The world known scientists and the founders of numerous scientific medical schools which brought glory to the world science worked at OSMU. OSMU is the only university of Ukraine, which is a member of MEDINE (Medical EDucation IN Europe). The Thematic Network on MEDINE addresses educational, institutional and quality issues in European medical education within the framework of European initiatives. This project is being carried out with the support of the European Community.

Odessa State Medical University is the first university of Ukraine which started medical education in English medium in 1996. In 2005, OSMU  was awarded with a medal for the development of modern model for teaching the English speaking students by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Only university of Ukraine which provides post-graduation courses in English medium.

Odessa State Medical University is one of the largest higher medical universities, a member of European and International Association of Universities, the leader of reformation of medical education in the country. Odessa State Medical University is an higher education institution of the IV (the top level) accreditation level conferred by the State Accreditation Committee of Ukraine (Record No. 12 of June 30, 1994). The studies are carried out by 800 teachers, 18 academicians, 105 professors and doctors of Medical Science, 407 docents and candidates of medical science. During the course students master all modern medical technologies which are available today in the world. INTRODUCTION

Lugansk state medical university was founded in the year of 1956. Lugansk state medical University is one of the oldest and leading medical higher institutions of Ukraine and former USSR. High level of qualification allows graduates of the University to work successfully in many countries of the world, to achieve great success in science and practical public health services. Among them are scientists, heads of public health service, honoured doctors.
Lugansk State Medical University provides high quality education to our students who are looking for quality education at an affordable course fees. Lugansk State Medical University has a good team of long term experienced lecturers in providing quality education to the students.
Lugansk State Medical University is a higher educational instuition of the top accreditation level (conferred by the State Accreditation Committee of Ukraine). At the Lugansk state medical University there are six faculties and a preparatory department. The Lugansk state medical University trains specialists along the following education / qualification levels: Junior specialists, specialists, Masters for the following specialties:

Lugansk State Medical University is attested according to the highest (the fourth) Level of accreditation. 400 teachers, among them 63 doctors of sciences, 273 candidates of sciences, including five Honored Science and Technique Workers of Ukraine, one Honored Worker of public education of Ukraine, two Honored doctors of Ukraine, two Laureates of State prize of Ukraine carry out pedagogical, scientific, medical and educational work at 48 departments.
Lugansk state medical University has very good facilities. There are five building for theoretical classes and a wide net of clinical bases of medical institutions of Lugansk, which are equipped at the level corresponding to world standards. Today Lugansk State Medical University is a complex of buildings designed for practical classes, lectures, laboratory studies, library, research work and auxiliary services, covering. The total area owned by the Lugansk state medical University is 70466 sq.m: within it the area of study and laboratory premises is 33598 sq. mts. The teaching area per one student is 15 sq.m. Other clinical bases used by the Lugansk state medical University are administered by the Government healthcare department.
Organization of the medical process and methods of teaching at Lugansk State Medical University are built according to modern demands and world experience. Informatics medical animation featured in public television series on health

One of the great values of 3D animation, as taught in the Media Arts and Science program, IU School of Informatics, is the ability to make complex issues easier to understand. That’s been the longtime mantra of Albert William, an IUPUI research associate. To that end, a health-related animation project created by William is featured in an important series of broadcasts on public television stations across Indiana.

Mastering Your Health is a new half-hour television program aimed at educating the public on how to take control of their health. An episode about diabetes treatment and prevention includes an animation of views of anatomic structures and cellular processes involved with, and related to, diabetes. William, who teaches 3D stereoscopic animation at the School of Informatics at IUPUI, is the animation’s creator.

"This episode of Mastering Your Health utilizes animation as a tool to help people understand the 'unseen' aspects of the disease," explained William. "We are using these visualizations to help people understand the structures in the body that are at risk for diabetes, and to give a simplified description of how the body creates and processes insulin."

The first two segments, which will air on eight public broadcasting service (PBS) stations in Indiana in April, May, and June, will focus on diabetes and skin health, respectively. Each of the Mastering Your Health segments will include information on nutrition and physical activity. Plans call for contacting the other 49 states, inviting them to participate in this integrated TV/radio programming project.

Content for the Mastering Your Health segments was developed with input from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Ball State University, Butler University, Purdue University, Chef Academy, and Indiana Medical Group. Each episode features a variety of experts including well-known accredited chefs, chiropractors, clinical nutritionists, medical doctors, physical therapists, and psychologists.
